Your wedding day is a marathon
Most LDS wedding days start early. Hair and makeup, an early sealing, photos on the temple grounds, maybe a luncheon, then the reception that runs into the evening. That's 12 hours or more for you and your closest helpers.
The bride who plans for snacks is the bride who doesn't feel lightheaded during the receiving line. And we’re in the Soda/Cookie capital of the world, so there are more than a few Swig cups sitting on our pretty countertops.
What to pack
Think easy to grab, not messy, and kind to a white dress:
Something filling: slider sandwiches, wraps or meat sticks
Fresh fruit: green grapes, clementines, apple slices
Crunchy: pretzel crisps, crackers, veggie sticks with ranch
A little sweet: dried apricots, dates, or a few cookies
Water, and lots of it. Add a soda or two for an afternoon boost.
Skip anything with red sauce, powdered sugar, or crumbs that stick to tulle.
Make it cute
A letterboard sign turns a snack counter into a moment. Give it a name, a cute line, or your wedding date, and suddenly it's part of the decor instead of an afterthought.
Clear canisters show off the treats, a neat stack of plates and a cup of utensils make it easy for guests to grab and go, and keeping everything in a tight color palette makes it feel intentional. It photographs well too, so it'll look as good in your pictures as it does in the room.
Assign a snack captain
Ask a sister, aunt, or close friend to own this. Before guests arrive, they set it up and make sure everything looks the way you pictured it. During the reception, they keep it stocked, tidy, and moving.
At the end of the night, they pack up the leftovers and anything that needs to go home. Give them a quick list ahead of time so they know what goes where. You shouldn't have to think about it. Your job is to be there for the moments that matter.
Room to breathe
Our bridal suite gives you a private space to get ready, rest, and refuel between the temple and the reception.
Furthermore, the party room gives your family their own spot too. Comfy leather seating, a TV, and space for card games or a quick football check-in. It's where little cousins recharge, dads kick off their shoes to check Facebook, and everyone gets a break from the ballroom's beautiful chaos before heading back in.
