The Grand Exit: How to Do a Send Off in La Fête Style
La Fête's front entrance, with our big, beautiful wooden doors were made for this moment.
By the time you step through those doors, everything else is already behind you — the arrival, the speeches, the first dance, the cake, the food, and hours on the dance floor with the people you love most. The night has been full. All that's left is the exit, and we make it count. We line your guests along the full face of the building, creating a corridor of light and celebration that stretches from the entrance all the way to your waiting car at the north end.
"The send-off isn't the end of your wedding. It's the first frame of your marriage — make it one worth framing."
Our team manages the entire orchestration: organizing guests into the line, coordinating sparkler lighting, and working directly with your photographer to nail the timing and angles. When it's over, a sand bucket is stationed at the end of the line for safe sparkler disposal — so the only thing you're driving off with is each other.
Choose your send-off style
Different couples, different moments. Here's what we offer and recommend:
How we run the night
A beautiful send-off doesn't happen by accident. Here's how La Fête coordinates yours:
We gather your guests — about 10-15 minutes before your exit, our coordinator begins moving guests outside and into position along the building's front face. No chaotic scramble, no guests missing the moment. We highly recommend adding a last dance for just the two of you while we assemble outside - just remember to discuss this with your DJ or tell us in advance if you are using our DJ booth.
We brief the line — for sparklers, we walk guests through safe-hold technique and timing cues. Ribbon wands and bubbles get a quick how-to. Everyone knows their role before you step out the door.
We light in sequence — sparklers are lit in a coordinated wave so they're all burning bright when you walk through, not fizzling out by the time you reach the car.
We cue your photographer — we coordinate directly with your photographer on timing, positioning, and pace so the walk is captured from the ideal angle with full light on both of you.
We handle cleanup — a sand bucket at the end of the line collects all spent sparklers. Safe, fast, and done before guests even make it back inside.

We do this quite a bit, here are some easy links to directly purchase your choice of send off. Please note that we don’t allow for petals, rice or other thrown items in a send off - use of these items will incur a cleaning fee.
Sparklers (10” Recommended) and must remain outside. Or check locally with Peacock Sparklers in Springville
Bubble Guns - Bubble machines must remain outside
A few things worth knowing
We recommend 10-12-inch sparklers over the longer 36-inch versions popular at other venues. They burn at the right duration for the walk — enough time to feel magical, not so long that guests are stuck holding hot metal while you're already at the car. For weddings with young children in the guest line, we always recommend ribbon wands as the default for our smaller guests.
Timing matters. Sparkler exits look best after dark, so your on-site coordinator will help you build a timeline that puts your exit at the right moment. If you're planning a daytime or golden-hour wedding, bubbles and ribbon wands are the natural choice and photograph just as beautifully in natural light.
Talk to your photographer early. The best sparkler shots are lit from the side with the couple moving slowly. Let them know your exit plan well in advance — our team will be on the same page before the night begins.
